Feeding Healthcare Workers
Thanks to the incredible generosity and leadership of our donors and the hard work of seven fabulous Bronx restaurants, we were able to feed Jacobi doctors, nurses, intake coordinators, janitors, respiratory therapists, EMS staff, (everyone!) dinner each night for six weeks during the COVID19 pandemic at Jacobi Medical Center. The food was outstanding, our healthcare workers were well fed, and these fantastic local restaurants were able to count on more than 600 dinners each. In total, we were able to provide over 5000 individually packaged dinners.
Hats off to our dedicated healthcare teams for keeping us safe.
And thanks to:
Vaya (Modern Mexican),
Havana Cafe (Cuban/Latin)
Neha Palace (Indian),
La Mesa (Colombian), and
Nana's Kitchen (Mediterranean)
For helping to keep them nourished.
It was a happy spot in the midst of chaos.
